Activities that can developed better rapport with family

 


A positive family relationship just so enjoyable for their own sake, it makes you feel warm and loving in the family. there are some tips and activities that can developed better rapport with family.



1.     Quality time in family relationship

Quality time is time that you will spend throughout a day or a week or even an hour for anyone. Quality time is important for your family even you have a lot on one’s plate. You can try to make some activities for your family’s quality time

 

·        Go for dinner together

·        Go for walk or do sport together such as playing badminton

·        Playing some board games together

·        Go for fishing

·        Do your family members hobbies together

·        Picnic

·        Go for short vacation or staycation

 



2.     Good communication in family relationship

 Good communications skills are needed in a family. each of the family members should listen without judgement and expressing their own thoughts and feelings openly and respectfully. It can help each of family members to understand each other. Some of the communications skills that we need is:

 

·        When child talk, try to stop what you’re doing or trying to do. Do listen to them first with full attention and concern.

·        Try to talking about difficult things like mistakes, feelings such as anger, joy, frustration, and fear.

·        Ready for spontaneous conversation. Some child they will tell you about their feeling while bathing or while eat. Try to understand and listen to them.

 


3.     Non-verbal communication practice

Not everything must be told or happen in words, sometimes it might occur reaction or in action only. For examples, they might need hugs, kisses, cuddles or eye-contact.

 


4.     Teamwork in family

 When a family working as a team, each of family members will feels supported and able to contribute. It is easier to work together when we understand where they stand. A teamwork can start to build by doing some:

 

·        Share household chores

·        Sharing family decision such as plan for holiday or vacation

·        Work together to solve a problem

 



5.     Appreciation among family members

 Appreciation is you valuing someone or appreciate each other in the family. how to appreciate each other?

 

·        Celebrate mother’s and Father’s Day. It will show how you’re appreciate your father and mother

·        Celebrate family member birthday. It will show that you are valuing them and appreciate their being.

·        Sharing memories and family stories. For examples, sharing a high school memory with children sharing memories in childhood and others interesting memories to remember.


We need to always keep spending time together with our family because it can makes us closer and understand each other better. Everyone in the family need to play an important role to help the family become a better family and happy family. Happy family leads to happy mind and destroy a mental health issues.
